By playing the game, Simon realizes that he could have noticed what Betty sacrificed for him to avoid subsequent tragedies, and he gives a magical dandelion to Fionna to restore the Fionna-world, before being sent back to Ooo by GOLB; Fionna-world becomes an authorized universe through the dandelion, undoing Scarab's erasure. After Prismo breaks free, enabling him to send Fionna and Cake allies across multiverses, Scarab is encased by his own device and is later allowed to work with Prismo in the Time Room. Fionna and the still-magical Cake keep living their lives.
