Scott's funeral is disrupted by his ex-girlfriend, pop star Envy Adams. Believing he should have control of the League for killing Scott, Matthew summons the six other members to a meeting and publicly challenges Gideon. He wins after a lengthy battle and Gideon is forced to give him the League and his massive media conglomerate. Ramona hears Scott's voice in her dreams, waking up and realizing he may still be alive.
